Blog #36 story boards

Now that filming is right around the corner, I have make sure that I am fully prepared, and one of the most important things when filming a movie is to have proper storyboards. Storyboards visualize, plan, and organize a film's shots and the sequence of them; this way Im going into filming knowing exactly what I have to do - with room for improvisations or slight changes which may feel better during shooting. Storyboards are also a safe guard to help avoid forgetting shots, because you have all of them in order, completely avoiding the need for reshoots - at least in terms of missing shots.

Formatting: Traditionally story boards will have a brief description of the short, the Scene #, the Shot #, the camera shot, camera movement, and filming method listed.

Now that I know the importance and format of storyboards, here are the full storyboards for my film.

Now I know exactly what I need to film on my shooting days, and I can effectively and efficiently plan the shooting days and hopefully avoid needing reshoots.
