Blog #33 Instagram Post 2: Film Announcement

 Now that I have my film's title, poster and synopsis, I can officially announce my film to the public, with all the necessary information required to inform them on what my movie is about, the tones that will be expressed in my film, and why they should follow and stay updated on the film's creation and release.

As you can see this post had to be full of information on my film as its the very first piece of marketing to kickstart my film's campaign. It doesn't have every single detail like the release date, which my film is too early in production to have one yet, but it does have the full synopsis to inform viewers on the basic spoiler free plot of my film. I played Trapt's I Want To Want What I Want over the post because it matches the tone of the film, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the themes of the film. The song also fits very well with the character of Dillon, whom feels like he doesn't fit in but is trying to be accepted by everyone, which is also why the song will very probably be included in my film. I also used some hashtags to encourage audience engagement like the #flawlessmovie, and I used #horror and #horrormovie to direct the post towards horror movie fans' for you page on the app.

  The Empty Man (2020) I want to make a horror short film that focuses on a single character who is alone in their house and is stalked and attacked by cult members. I plan to include a practical gore set piece in my short film, and I plan to base my short film off of themes of self love, identity, worthlessness and toxic relationships.
