Blog Post #19 Planning Filming Locations

 I need to plan where I will shoot my film, so that I can get a more accurate vision for the story and shot composition. It is important to know where I will be shooting scenes, so that I can give the actors notices in advance so that they have the addresses and can plan when they're schedules are open for filming. 

Filming location 1: Dillion's Bedroom

The majority of the first and second act of my short film will take place at Dillon's house (predominantly in his bedroom). This will be where Dillon waits for Anna to come over, leading up to the break in scene.

Filming location 2: Dillon's Backyard

This is where the 3rd act will take place, where Dillon fights with a cult member, and the many cult members are revealed, Anna being one of them, leading up to Dillon's death scene.

I will now notify the lead actors Gavin Jordan and Lauren Davis where the locations are, so that filming dates can be discussed and made in advance, taking in the possible need of reshoots into account.

  The Empty Man (2020) I want to make a horror short film that focuses on a single character who is alone in their house and is stalked and attacked by cult members. SUBURBAN HOME - DILLONS BEDROOM - MORNING                        1 An alarm buzzes as DILLON wakes up to turn it off, and begins his morning routine; DILLON works out in his home gym, then opens instagram and looks at people's stories.
